Action to be Taken on the Cancellation of Interviews for LSE1s

The Union of Professional Educators has been investigating the issue of the cancellation of the interviews of SLSEs progressing to LSE1. The union was informed that the decision to annul the interviews was made following what the PSC claimed to be a disclosure of interview questions to the general public.

The UPE will not condone such irresponsible behaviour coming from the PSC, whereby a whole cohort, which was labelled as batch 4, is being penalised for something which is ultimately the sole responsibility of the Board itself. One is led to believe that such action arose, not as a result of the incompetence or deceitful attitude of the interviewees, as one would have the general public believe, but out of the lack of proactivity to create a sufficiently extensive or exhaustive database of questions which may have been asked by the Board itself, thus unfairly compromising the interview process in a way which is now threatening the livelihood of a large number of LSEs who, for all intents and purposes, may or may not, have had access to this alleged leakage of information.

The UPE will be defending any of its members affected by this unjust decision and is cordially inviting these LSEs to fill in the following form, to benefit from action taken in this regard.

The Union of Professional Educators would like to emphasise that it is only members of the UPE who will benefit from the intervention and assistance of the union on the matter, and that any forms filled in by non-members will not be taken into account.

Should any of our members have any further queries they are always welcome to contact the union on 21221252/6/8 or via email at info@upe.mt.
