The Union of Professional Educators (UPE) wishes to inform its members of its firm position
This union is open to all teachers, learning support educators (LSE), kindergarten educators (KGE), as well as Heads of Department working in Malta or Gozo.
Membership is €45 and covers a 12-month subscription period. You can join by clicking on membership, entering your details and paying through our online payment system.
The Union of Professional Educators has its members at heart. It has no politcal affiliation, and all who are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the union are fully committed to refrain from engaging in any partisan activity. The union strives to offer the best service possible to its members and to ensure that their well-being, and just treatment at the place of work, are given the priority they are due. When negotiating agreements, the union will include every workplace in consultations and in the decision-making processes. The UPE believes in democracy and the fate of any agreement the union will be involved in will ultimately reflect the true stand of educators by way of voting
