The Union of Professional Educators has its members at heart. It has no politi-cal affiliation, and all who are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the union are fully committed to refrain from engaging in any partisan activity. The union strives to offer the best service possible to its members and to en-sure that their well-being, and just treatment at the place of work, are given the priority they are due. When negotiating agreements, the union will include every workplace in consultations and in the decision-making processes. The UPE believes in democracy and the fate of any agreement the union will be in-volved in will ultimately reflect the true stand of educators by way of voting.
