UPE Directives- Abusive Replacement Lessons!

The UPE performed a monitoring exercise to see what was happening in the first few hours of school this Monday morning after it had issued a series of individual directives to members who had suffered redeployment.

Many teachers who were following the Union’s directives were given full-day replacements with the same class or with classes that had missing teachers. Such actions caused problems as these teacher were unable to perform duties in their specialised subjects. Moreover, replacements were also been given to a number of LSEs and Nurture LSEs, resulting in the constant mixing of bubbles.

This disregard for Union directives and health protocols has to lead the UPE to reactivate a series of directives which have been issued last year.

These directives can be handily found by clicking the ‘Directives‘ tab on the UPE website.
