Shared Allowance?

Peripatetic Teachers Excluded from Shared Allowance

The Union of Professional Educators (UPE) has been formally informed by the Ministry of Education that the shared allowance granted to teachers is limited to very few exceptions.

It was made clear that this allowance will not be given to peripatetic teachers.

This news comes after several queries made by the Union, and after the Union’s insistence, it was clarified that not all teachers assigned to more than one school will receive this allowance.

It is clear that the MUT’s secret agreement has also overlooked teachers who work in more than one school.

The UPE will be discussing this issue with its members in the coming days.
