The Union of Professional Educators has received various reports from Nurture groups who are being expected to give lessons in the month of June. This new practice goes contrary to what was being implemented in previous years.
The month of June is usually reserved for preparing and finalising Boxall reports, ILPs, and other related paperwork.
For this reason, the UPE is issuing the following directives that will come into effect as of Thursday, 6th June 2024.
Nurture teachers and Nurture LSEs members of the UPE are not to conduct lessons or in-class sessions from the 6th of June 2024 onwards (for the duration of the month of June). This is to allow them to finalize Boxall reports, ILPs, and other related paperwork.
Nurture teachers and Nurture LSEs members of the UPE are not to do any PowerPoint presentations or any other formats of presentation related to work practices.

Members who receive any undue pressure not to adhere to the directives are requested to contact the UPE.
