The MUT has instructed some of its members to report to the Ministry-assigned school as from Monday 8 November. The MUT President, Marco Bonnici, called some of those who have followed the directive issued specifically to peripatetic teachers telling them that the MUT directive has been withdrawn with immediate effect. In short, these union members have been sold down the river!

The UPE asks these educators to consider the fact that the MUT has played them false, betrayed them for the millionth time. Here, at the UPE, we have consistently and persistently called out the MUT for its attitude and behaviour with its members and the Ministry of Education. Unfortunately, it has come as no surprise to learn of the MUT’s actions.
