Guidelines for UPE Members: Maintaining Work Boundaries

The Union of Professional Educators is providing the following guidelines to ensure that none of its members are assigned extra responsibilities in the near future.

UPE members are required to adhere to their assigned timetables. They should not take on additional workloads or provide cover for other staff members who are participating in any industrial action.

UPE members with scheduled meetings should only attend such events if other members of the teaching team are also present. This applies to IEPs, parents’ days, and subject meetings.

UPE members should not accept any changes that may arise from others participating in industrial action.
