The Government has emailed educators with information about proposed raises.

The Government, alongside the Ministry of Education, has assumed control of the marketing strategy to present the proposed financial package that the Government is offering all educators.

The UPE welcomes the release of such details with approval, however, it notes the absence of specific information regarding the proposed text (conditions of work). This indicates a lack of clarity on the content of the proposed terms or what will be expected from educators in the forthcoming years.

The UPE is also publishing the proposed increases in allowances with the following specifications:

1st row: Proposed annual gross* allowance increase (including Class and Resource Allowance)

2nd row: Actual annual gross* allowance increase

3rd row: Actual monthly gross allowance increase.

*Gross – Income before deductions such as taxes are applied.
